Overview: The MIS Finance Officer is responsible for managing financial data, generating reports, and supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis. In a hospital setting, this role ensures that financial and operational data is captured, analyzed, and reported effectively to support budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Collect, compile, and analyse financial data from various hospital departments.
  • Prepare periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) MIS reports related to revenue, expenses, budgets, patient billing, receivables, etc.
  • Generate dashboards and performance reports for senior management.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for hospital operations.
  • Track variances between actual and budgeted figures and highlight key discrepancies.
  • Provide insights and recommendations for financial optimization.
  • To be analyse cost structures, department-wise expenses, and profitability of services.

Support cost control initiatives and efficiency improvements.

  • To be evaluate revenue streams from different hospital services and units.
  • Maintain and update hospital financial MIS tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally, Hospital Information System - HIS).
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all financial reporting systems.
  • Automate financial reporting processes wherever possible.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary MIS and financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital financial policies and regulatory standards (e.g., NABH, local financial regulations).
  • Coordinate with departments like billing, procurement, HR, Sales & Marketing and clinical units for data collection and reporting.
  • Present financial insights in a clear and concise manner to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Any other duty assigned by the reporting manager.

Qualification & Experience:

  • B.com with CA/CMA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial MIS in hospital industry.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros), PowerPoint, and financial software (e.g., Tally, SAP, HIS, Oracle).
  • Working knowledge of hospital revenue cycles and financial KPIs.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • High integrity and commitment to organizational values.

The Floor Manager acts as a liaison between patients, families, doctors, and nursing staff to provide a seamless healthcare experience.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Supervise the delivery of patient care and ensure it meets hospital standards and protocols at the best satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily rounds of all admitted patients to ensure delivery of quality care and address concerns promptly.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction and respond promptly to patient or family concerns.
  • Handle patient grievances and escalate unresolved issues to senior management.
  • Ensure timely admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
  • Prepare duty rosters and ensure adequate staffing levels.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate team performance.
  • Ensure the floor is clean, organized, and adequately stocked with non-medical supplies.
  • Maintain departmental KPIs and documentation as per hospital policies.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control practices, and healthcare regulations.
  • Participate in internal audits, quality improvement initiatives, and accreditation activities.
  • Implement corrective actions based on feedback from inspections, audits, or complaints.
  • Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on patient census, incidents, staff performance, etc.
  • Coordinate with other departments (housekeeping, pharmacy, billing, etc.) for smooth functioning.
  • Supervise housekeeping, maintenance, and other support services to maintain a clean, safe, and patient-friendly environment.

Qualification & Experience:

  • MBA or PG Diploma in Hospital or Healthcare Management.
  • 5+ years of experience in hospital patient care management preferably in a 200+ bedded hospital setting with at least 3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of hospital protocols, patient rights, and safety standards.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with hospital management systems.
