Overview: The Staff Nurse provides advanced nursing care to patients and supports the nursing team in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate healthcare. This role combines clinical expertise with leadership and mentoring responsibilities to ensure high standards of patient care, adherence to hospital policies, and continuous improvement in nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Provide direct and specialized nursing care to patients based on their clinical needs.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record patients’ conditions, reporting any changes promptly.
• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Supervise, guide, and support staff nurses and nursing assistants in daily tasks.
• Participate in orientation programs and ongoing professional development activities.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in patient records.
• Participate in clinical audits (NABH/JCI), risk assessments, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of nursing protocols and best practices.
• Liaising between patients, families, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Assist the Nurse Manager in staff scheduling, resource management, and inventory control.
• Contribute to incident reporting and root-cause analysis when required.
• Participate in departmental meetings and represent the nursing team when delegated.
• Any other duty assigned by the reporting manager.

Qualification & Experience:

• GNM / B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid Nursing Registration in State/Indian Nursing Council. Shall have to register with Delhi Nursing Council in case of other state registration. 
• Certification in ACLS/BLS/PALS/NALS/ is an advantage.
• 3+ years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to handle emergency situations confidently.
• Knowledge of hospital safety and infection control standards.
• Proficiency in hospital information systems and documentation.
