Overview: The Public Relations Officer (PRO) in a vital role in managing the hospital’s image and communication with patients, visitors, the public, and external agencies. The PRO is responsible for promoting positive public awareness, coordinating with media, handling patient grievances, and maintaining relationships with government departments and the community. This position ensures that the hospital maintains a transparent, responsive, and trusted public profile.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Ensure effective communication various stakeholders.
• Assist patients and their families with non-clinical inquiries and concerns.
• Address and resolve patient grievances promptly and empathetically.
• Maintain liaison with government departments, local authorities
• Manage communication during medical emergencies, disasters, or public health crises.
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Prepare and issue press releases, public announcements, and hospital newsletters.
• Coordinate media coverage for hospital events, achievements, or health awareness campaigns.
• To be organize and promote health camps, seminars, community outreach programs, and hospital events.
• To be ensure represent the hospital in external programs and health awareness initiatives.
• Oversee content for hospital website, social media platforms, and internal newsletters.
• To be promote awareness of hospital services and achievements through various media channels.

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mass communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or Healthcare Management.
• 10+ years of progressive Public Relation officer experience in a 300 + bedded hospital setting.
• At least 5+ years of experience in hospital as public relation Officer & administration roles.
