Nursing Educator (JD-0049)

Overview: The Nursing Educator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating educational and training programs for nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and evidence-based patient care. The role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership, and communication skills, along with the ability to mentor and develop nursing personnel, promote continuous professional growth, and support organizational goals in maintaining excellence in clinical practice and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Plan, organize, and conduct orientation programs for newly recruited nursing staff.
- Conduct mandatory in-service education programs to ensure continuous professional development and compliance with hospital standards.
- Design and deliver specialty-specific training sessions to enhance clinical expertise and departmental proficiency.
- Facilitate in-service education and clinical training programs to strengthen nursing skills and promote best practices in patient care.
- Monitor and supervise newly recruited nurses to assess their skill application and ensure adherence to established protocols.
- Conduct competency assessments and skill analyses of nursing staff to identify training needs and performance gaps.
- Organize and conduct training programs on Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives to promote a culture of excellence in nursing services.
- Coordinate and maintain records of online refresher training programs, ensuring timely participation and completion by all nursing staff.
- Plan and conduct Nursing Audits to evaluate nursing practices, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Qualification & Experience:
- M.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution with Delhi Nursing Council Registration.
- 10+ years of experience preferably in teaching and training institute/hospital (200+ bedded setup).
- Proven experience in nursing education, competency development, and clinical training programs.
- Training or certification in Nursing Education, Leadership, or Quality Improvement is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of hospital accreditation standards (NABH/JCI/NABL) and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills with the ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional excellence among nursing staff.
