Overview:

An IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization’s computer systems/ end points, networks, and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, security, and user support. This role involves installing, upgrading, troubleshooting hardware and software, implementing security protocols, providing technical support, and coordinating IT operations across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain computer systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Install, upgrade, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and related IT equipment.
• Implement security protocols including antivirus, data backup, and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control to safeguard company data.
• Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of IT systems.
• Document IT processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Implement IT policies and procedures to improve system efficiency and security.
• Assist in onboarding new employees with necessary IT setups and training.
• Stay updated with current technology trends and recommend upgrades or improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors and external service providers as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• B. Tech or equivalent
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified IT Professional, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco certifications are preferred
• 8 + years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS), and enterprise software.
• Experience with server management, virtualization, and cloud services is a plus.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within teams.
