Fire Safety Officer (JD-0025)
Overview: The Fire Officer is responsible for ensuring fire safety across the hospital premises. This includes the implementation of fire prevention measures, maintenance of firefighting equipment, training of staff in fire safety protocols, and coordinating emergency response during fire-related incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all fire safety regulations, codes and hospital accreditation Requirements.
- Obtain and maintain NOC from concerned Fire Department and ensure its timely renewal.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire safety systems, equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, hydrants), and emergency exits.
- Develop and conduct fire drills, evacuation procedures, and fire safety training for hospital staff.
- Coordinate emergency response during fire alarms or actual fire incidents to ensure safe evacuation.
- Maintain records of inspections, incidents, drills, and fire equipment maintenance.
- Liaise with local fire departments and authorities for compliance audits and incident management.
- Identify fire hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure readiness and proper functioning of fire suppression and detection systems at all times.
- Rostering and training of fire supervisor and fireman.
- Any other task assign by reporting manager or higher management.
Qualification And Experience:
- Degree in fire safety or diploma in fire safety from recognized institution.
- Experience in fire supervision / Firefighting techniques.
- 10+ years of experience in Fire Safety.
